Young equestrian gymnasts from Valley View Vaulters prepare for “A Day in the Country” at the Rancho Rio Verde Riding Club in Long Beach, which will be held Sunday Oct. 6, 2002 from 11 am to 4 pm. This 12th annual family event features an equestrian showcase, vaulting and herding demonstrations, a live country western band, the Long Beach Mounted Guard, a western barbeque, petting zoo, silent auction, clowns and face painting. The afternoon benefits the nonprofit Valley View Vaulters Club, which works with aspiring and handicapped vaulters. Kids 5 and under free, $5 aged 6-12, $8 seniors, $10 adults.
